REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Due to a recent promotion here at Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions we have a great opportunity for an experienced Experience not essential - driven perhaps more suitable here? Area Sales Manager to join our Trade Sales Team covering South London. The post codes you will covering are SW, KT, CR, TW, SM, RG, RH, GU. You will create and develop an area sales plan for the agreed geography in line with the regional sales plan creating a clear vision of how individuals\' prospects and customers can contribute towards the overall plan objectives.

As Area Sales Manager The successful candidate will develop and implement a profitable targeted sales plan for the agreed geographical area to deliver improved market share and a preferential product mix at best possible price through teamwork across channels, functions, the wider business and active engagement with trade customers.

What we\'re looking for:
  • Ability to consultative sell offering solutions not products
  • Project management skills with the ability to work concept to closure
  • Experience / Knowledge of the construction industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of the regional marketplace and products to maximise opportunities
  • Ability to work as a team and cross functionally
  • Self-motivated, organised and using CRM to support the business plan and needs of customers
  • Demonstrate creativity and present with confidence
  • Ability to adapt to change and be agile in ways of working to meet the needs of the customer.
What you will be doing:
  • Create and develop an area sales plan for the agreed geography in line with the regional sales plan creating a clear vision of how individuals\' prospects and customers can contribute towards the overall plan objectives with your key stake holders who will be distributors, subcontractors and main contractors.
  • Taking ownership of your individual development plan with the assistance, coaching and mentoring from their line manager and other members of the business if appropriate
  • Implementation of the area plan, including the negotiation of trading terms for independent accounts, discussions with Sub Contractors and on-site Partners in conjunction with the Regional Sales Director and cross channel colleagues, to deliver the best possible balance of volume, product mix and profitability
  • Development and implementation of new product area plans, in line with national and regional sales plans, to deliver sales in line with our Product Leadership objectives
  • Be the focal point for the exchange of information between customers, sales teams and other departments so that up to date information is available to all parties and a serviceable balance of supply and demand is maintained. Condition sub-contractors and distributors.
