Job Description
MY (after school) ART CLUB is an independent after school art club that teaches art to children aged 5 to 11 in primary schools in Hertfordshire.
We are currently looking for an Art Teacher to deliver primary-age children art lessons (All lessons and supplies provided).
We are looking for a well organised, reliable, positive and energetic, passionate about art individual with good classroom management skills.
Experience of working with children is desirable but not essential.
Drawing skills essential.
Driving licence and car essential.
If you do not meet the essential requirements, your application may not be considered.
The position is for 2 to 4 hours per week in primary schools situated in Harpenden. Only after school hours 3.15pm - 5.15pm.
The role includes working closely with the art project manager. Setting up and packing down after after delivering the class, teaching drawing and fine art technics, working one on one and in a group with the children, encouraging and supporting their development in individual ways according to their needs. You will be required to have a DBS and be register with the DBS Update Service.
