We teach in small groups with a dedicated and experienced teaching team, ensuring that each student receives individual attention and care. We create individual learning packages to support our students' needs.

Main Duties

Preparing and supplying art and textiles materials and equipment, canvases, boards, paints, clays, and screen-printing equipment for classes and exhibitions.

Maintaining the safe and functional condition of art and design equipment, including cameras, sewing machines, pottery wheels, and other specialist tools.

Managing the storage of art materials and equipment, ensuring proper organization and inventory control.

Assisting with the creation of art displays, including setting up exhibitions, mounting artwork, and managing the flow of art materials.

Providing technical assistance to students during lessons, demonstrations, and practical activities.

Handling tasks such as ordering supplies, managing the department budget, and assisting with administrative tasks related to the role.

Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for staff and students, adhering to safety regulations and procedures.

Assist in other classes in a teaching assistant capacity.

About You

Proven experience as an art technician or teaching assistant within a school environment

High attention to detail

Strong subject knowledge and ability to motivate students of all abilities.

Effective communication, organisational, and time-management skills.

Willing to submit an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS).

Complete Child Protection Training. Promote and safeguard the welfare of all children and young person's they are responsible for, or come into contact with.
