Working alone or in pairs under supervision to produce high quality aircraft wing structures for civil aviation. Using jigs and fixtures you will work progressively to assemble components to drawing requirements and specifications through to completion before delivery to the customer.
Primary Responsibilities:
Always operate in a safe manner abiding by the company's Rules of Safety and Quality
Produce work to an exact standard under supervision (training will be provided on job specifics to the successful candidate)
Working to specifications, S.O.P's, and visual aids
Manual drilling and bench work using jigs and fixtures, assembly of components using specialised fasteners, sealants and paints
Keep all production records up to date for jobs to ensure traceability
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in own work area and the section
Ability to work a rotating two shift system
Knowledge and Skills:
Deburring, manual drilling using jigs and fixtures, and a keen eye for detail
Experience in light assembly work using sealants and torque tightening fasteners while following simple S.O.P's would be desirable
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings a distinct advantage
Basic use of measuring equipment
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Experience and Education:
Assembly experience essential, preferably in Aerospace
Previous CNC machining experience would be an advantage
Any other engineering/assembly experience will be considered
GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 14.77-18.66 per hour
