Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in assembling components using both hand and power tools. This role is essential in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and functionality. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with mechanical assembly experience who takes pride in precision work and wants to be part of a forward thinking manufacturing business.

Responsibilities

Assemble components and products according to specifications and engineering drawings. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete assembly tasks. Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure compliance with standards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency. Troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise during the fitting process. Assist in the movement of materials within the warehouse as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a fitting or assembly role, preferably within a factory environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. physically fit as some lifting is required.
