Position Overview:

The Assembly Operative ensures machinery and equipment are built, tested, and prepared to meet quality and operational standards. This role involves troubleshooting issues in assembly, support inventory management, and provides guidance to junior team members to foster skill development and maintain high standards across the assembly process.

:

1. Assemble, install, and test machinery and equipment according to technical specifications.

2. Diagnose and resolve issues in machine assembly processes.

3. Collaborate with team members to enhance production efficiency and maintain product quality.

4. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot assembly issues as required.

5. Assist with stock control and inventory management.

6. Conduct packaging, labelling, and preparation of machines for dispatch.

7. Carry out additional duties assigned by the supervisor as necessary, including material handling, packing, and loading of finished goods.

8. Perform thorough testing of machines to ensure quality and functionality.

9. Guide junior staff in assembly techniques.

Qualifications

1. Required:

a. Solid manufacturing or assembly experience

b. Authorised to work in the UK

2. Preferred:

a. Engineering or Trade qualification

b. Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.41-14.29 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
