Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Assembly Operative to join a forward-thinking and fast-growing hydraulic company based on the business park in Ludlow.

We are looking for an energetic and reliable Assembly Operative to assist in the production and assembly of hydraulic components and related products. You will follow assembly instructions, use a variety of tools, carry out quality checks, and ensure all products meet company standards. You will also help keep the work area clean, safe, and well organised while adhering to all safety rules, regulations, and procedures.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to follow instructions carefully, work with accuracy, and maintain strong concentration. Preferred applicants are hard-working, dexterous, and able to work well both independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

Assembling mechanical or hydraulic components according to specifications

Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

Inspecting parts and finished products for faults or defects

Reporting production issues or errors to the relevant team members

Labelling, packing, and preparing completed products

Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe work environment

Following all company safety guidelines, policies, and procedures

Meeting daily production targets and maintaining consistent output

Qualifications

Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment (preferred)

Good attention to detail with the ability to identify faults

Physically strong, agile, and dexterous

Basic computer skills

Good timekeeping, attendance, and work ethic

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Willingness to work extended hours when required

Forklift licence would be an advantage, but not essential.

Working hours Mon - Thurs 8.30am - 5pm, Fri 8am - 4pm -Saturday mornings on a Rota basis
