Assembly Operator

(Rotating shifts, weekly, 6-2/2-10 and permanent night shift available)

The Role:



To assemble piece part components following set procedures which does include (but not limited to) local work instructions, relevant procedures and company policies and to assist the production supervisors in all areas of the Assembly Department.

Able to set up jobs and assemble piece part components to to set procedures using tooling and equipment provided. Able to flex around assemblies within the department aiding in work centre capacity as and when required. Plan your time effectively, checking for daily job assignments and on completion of each job with the Production Team Leader. Thorough understanding of MATTEC (Production system) requirements. Able to login / out and able to obtain required documentation for any given production order. Clear understanding of the importance of MATTEC data and how what the operator inputs can effect productivity and gap analysis results. Trained to a competent level within the MATTEC system and 1018 (training record) signed and completed. Able to train as and when required colleagues and Temporary employees to relevant standard work. Follow IATF & ISO 9001 quality procedures ensuring adherence to standard work and 2QQ. Stop the job run if you have 5 defects in a row or 10% of run rate. Monitor and reporting of finished product defects, machine or fixture problems as they arise to ensure timely resolution or communicate on any unresolved issues through EQDC to the Supervisor or team leader as and where nessessary. Organise and clean Equipment and work areas as required at the end of each shift, maintaining good housekeeping policies using the 5S system. Keep all traffic areas clear, observing health and safety rules and stage materials in designated locations. Able to flex into Injection Moulding operating where required to aid capacity and keep flow of work. Regular problem solver and able to support supervisors and team leaders with customer visits or audits, support during facility visits and talk with confidence about the production processes. Generate improvements through Kaizen attendance or JDI's.

Requirements



Experience of working in a Manufacturing Assembly function Good mechanical aptitude Interpersonal skills and Team work Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing would be beneficial

Pay: From 14.05 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
