Role Summary



Compliance Chain are seeking an experienced construction industry professional with a keen eye for detail to oversee our assessment activities across the company.

In addition to conducting assessments themselves, the Assessment Manager will support a team of assessors - providing guidance and quality oversight to ensure consistent, credible, and impartial evaluation of client submissions. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between Compliance Chain and the industry bodies who define the scope and criteria for our assessment and certification activities, ensuring our schemes are aligned with our requirements.

This position requires a strong understanding of industry legislation, standards and best practices; excellent attention to detail; and the ability to interpret and apply compliance criteria in a clear, balanced and consistent manner. The role contributes directly to maintaining the integrity, reliability, and reputation of Compliance Chain's certification and assessment services.

Key Responsibilities



Assessment Leadership & Delivery

Review and assess client submissions against key industry standards to verify compliance, applying technical knowledge to evaluate evidence accurately. Whilst providing clear, constructive feedback to clients where required. Ensure all assessments are completed in-line with Compliance Chain's client service level agreements and quality requirements. Support and develop the team of assessors, ensuring they have the training, guidance, and resources required to perform assessments consistently and effectively.
Relationship Management

Maintain strong, positive relationships with industry bodies and key stakeholders, ensuring open communication and proactive collaboration. Monitor updates to industry standards, frameworks, and legislative changes, ensuring our assessment criteria and processes remain aligned. Represent Compliance Chain in external meetings, working groups, or sector forums where assessment requirements or industry expectations are discussed.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

Maintain detailed, accurate, and secure records of assessment activities in accordance with Compliance Chain's procedures. Support and strengthen quality assurance processes to ensure assessments are conducted impartially, consistently, and in accordance with scheme requirements. Identify opportunities for improving assessment methodologies, documentation, workflows, and communication.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience



Must hold at least one of the following (or an equivalent): NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, NEBOSH Health & Safety Management in Construction, British Safety Council Level 3 in Occupational Safety & Health or NCRQ Level 6 in Applied Health & Safety.

Proven experience conducting compliance assessments, audits, inspections, or similar evaluative activities.

Comprehensive understanding of relevant industry legislation, including: Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and The Building Safety Act 2022.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex evidence and apply assessment criteria consistently.

Effective communication skills, able to deliver clear, constructive feedback to clients and colleagues.

Strong time management and organisational abilities.

Proficiency in the use of various IT systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
