Customer Experience and Digital includes the Council's Benefits service and opportunities are now available to join this dynamic team. These are key roles in the service in terms of both maximising revenue to the council to support our services and spending plans as well as the delivery of excellent customer service.



This is an exciting opportunity to join the Council's Customer Experience and Digital Service within Corporate Resources.



We are seeking to appoint three permanent, full time Assessment Officers to the Council's Financial Assessment and Direct Payment Teams.



The positions are essential to maintaining the provision of the Services high performing delivery of Direct Payments and Financial Protection administration whilst working in a dynamic and challenging environment.

About the roles....

The roles will involve supporting the administration of Direct Payments and Financial Protection (Appointee & Deputyships).



The main responsibilities of the roles are to:


Be responsible for administering the Council Deputyship and Appointeeship cases. Administer the Court of Protection and Department for Work and Pensions Appointeeship application process. You will be fully conversant with Social Care, Benefit and Welfare legislation and assist to provide the best possible service to our customers. This will include completing financial assessments to determine contributions to the cost of care, maximising benefits, setting up and supporting customers to meet their care needs via and with all aspects of a Direct Payment.
