Brief Description

Network Rail are looking for a Structural Engineer with asset management experience to join one of our key assurance divisions. This is a diverse role that will make use of your structural engineering background (civils and other disciplines will be considered) and you will contribute to the ongoing safety of Network Rail\'s extensive and historic buildings throughout the network.

The role is based in the South East and your head office will be based at London Blackfriars.

About the role (External)

Key Accountabilities

\xc2\xb7 Manage the asset stewardship and inspection of operational property building fabric assets in accordance with asset policy and technical strategy, recommending remedial and renewal works and maintain comprehensive asset history records.

\xc2\xb7 Develop and assist with the management of prioritised maintenance and renewal requirements, workbanks and plans in accordance with the technical asset management strategy and budget.

\xc2\xb7 Produce maintenance and renewal remits and manage their inclusion in the workbank.

\xc2\xb7 Act as sponsor for complex and specialist maintenance and all renewal schemes. Discharge all sponsor\'s accountabilities in accordance with corporate policy.

Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

\xc2\xb7 HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject

\xc2\xb7 Significant relevant experience of operational property engineering

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of policies and standards relating to operational property

\xc2\xb7 Working towards membership of a relevant professional institution

Desirable

\xc2\xb7 Sound railway background and knowledge of railway geography
