The Asset Officer will play an important role within our Property Services team, the role is central to ensuring that Concept Housing's property assets are safe, well-maintained, and financially sustainable.
The postholder will be responsible for maintaining accurate asset records and ensuring compliance with all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements. By collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, the Asset Officer will analyse data sources and use insight to support strategic decisions on asset investment and divestment.
The role will also be responsible for maintaining a fixed asset register, monitoring property conditions, and contributing to the continuous improvement of asset management practice - ultimately, helping to ensure that every property meets the required standards.
Key tasks
In this role, you will oversee property inspections to ensure that the quality of our housing meets Concept's specifications and the Decent Homes Standard. You'll conduct regular property condition surveys and maintain accurate asset information through diligent record-keeping and updating systems accordingly.
You'll act as a key advisor on asset related matters, supporting both the compliance team and housing officers to ensure resident safety. Your responsibilities include monitoring compliance with Health and Safety regulations, assessing new assets for suitability, and recommending investment or divestment where appropriate.
You'll also play a proactive role in driving service improvements, identifying innovative solutions, and developing strong relationships with stakeholders and external partners.
Additionally, you'll contribute to other projects that support the long-term sustainability and safety of the organisation's property portfolio.
A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential requirements for this role.
