Overview:

We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious Asset Recovery Field Technician to join our growing team. This hands-on role will involve travelling across the UK to recover telecoms equipment from data centres and technical environments. You will be trained to decommission legacy network hardware, work both independently and as part of a two-person team, depending on the size and complexity of the job. You will be required to drive a company van/share driving with colleague on long distances.

When not on recovery assignments, you will support our logistics & warehouse teams at our main facility with day-to-day operations and project-based tasks.

This is a flexible and varied role ideal for someone who enjoys working in different environments and is willing to support various operational tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Travel to customer sites across the UK to safely decommission and recover telecoms and IT equipment. Complete asset recovery jobs independently or as part of a two-person team, depending on the requirements of the task. Carry out safe physical removal, packaging, and transportation of recovered equipment. Ensure correct handling and labelling of assets to maintain traceability and audit trails. Support the warehouse team with general logistics duties when not on recovery jobs, including: Goods in/out Inventory management Project staging and preparation Packing and shipping Maintain high safety standards on-site and in transit. Communicate professionally with customers and represent the company positively. Follow instructions and take initiative when working independently.

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record. Experience driving a van and confident navigating across the UK. Ability to work independently and use initiative. Strong attention to detail and care in handling equipment. Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks. Reliable, trustworthy, and a good team player. Flexible attitude to support different tasks within the business as needed. Willingness to travel and occasionally work flexible hours depending on job locations.

Desirable:

Previous experience in telecoms or IT environments. Forklift or manual handling certifications. Experience working in logistics, warehousing, or field service roles.

Salary:

25,000 - 30,000 per year

, depending on experience.
Additional allowances or overtime may be available depending on travel and job demands.
