to support our Centre Directors in ensuring smooth daily operations, helping students achieve mastery in maths, providing excellent customer service to parents, and leading a team of Instructors.
Job Overview
The
Assistant to Centre Director
plays a key role in supporting Centre Directors with sales, administration, and instruction. You'll be responsible for helping to run the centre efficiently, ensuring the instructional floor is effective, and stepping in as a leader when the Centre Director is unavailable.
Key duties include making care calls, following up with leads, supporting walk-in enquiries, managing student records, creating learning materials, and joining the instructional team when needed. You'll also help train, coach, and develop Instructors to ensure top-quality delivery.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education, organised, confident in sales and customer service, and eager to contribute to a high-performing team.
Responsibilities Centre Operations & Educational Support
Support the Centre Director in managing all aspects of daily operations.
Oversee administrative duties such as creating student binders, logging student progress, and updating learning plans in coordination with the Centre Director.
Prepare instructional materials to support both students and team members.
Administer assessments to identify learning gaps and help create customised learning plans.
Sales, Marketing & Customer Service
Engage with prospective customers and leads both in-person and by phone, using Mathnasium's sales tools to convert leads into enrolments.
Build rapport with parents, answer enquiries, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Conduct enrolment conversations with walk-ins when the Centre Director is occupied.
Ensure a positive experience for both students and parents throughout their journey with Mathnasium.
Assist with local marketing activities and promotions.
Contribute to creating and posting social media content to promote the centre.
Experience & Skills Essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Outstanding organisational and time-management abilities
High level of integrity, ambition, resilience, and empathy
Strong maths skills and a higher education qualification
Previous teaching, tutoring, or educational experience
Preferred
Degree-level qualification
Experience in sales or marketing
Business acumen and basic accounting knowledge
A valid UK driving licence is preferred
