We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join a dynamic finance team within one of N Ireland premier tourist attraction. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a fast-paced, growing business. You'll play a key role in financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting month-end processes, while contributing to the overall efficiency and compliance of the finance function.
What You'll Be Doing
Assist with month-end close, including trial balance preparation and management accounts submission
Perform reconciliations of balance sheet and intercompany accounts
Maintain fixed asset and lease registers
Support statutory audit and reporting (VAT returns, grant claims, etc.)
Process payroll, expenses, and bank reconciliations
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, KPIs, and budgets
Handle purchase/sales ledger transactions and GRNI reviews
Assist with cash flow forecasting and financial controls
Liaise with external auditors and contribute to year-end processes
Support automation and system improvements (e.g., Power BI, cloud-based tools)
What You'll Bring
Part-qualified accountant or accounting technician (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/AAT)
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
Experience with accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
