We're hiring an experienced Assistant Accountant on behalf of a local Staffordshire business.

The Role

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their small finance team. This is a full-time, permanent role that plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day accounts function while also supporting with month-end tasks and reporting.

You'll be hands-on with a wide range of accounting duties - from purchase and sales ledger management through to bank reconciliations, credit control, processing journals and updating cashflows and monthly budget figures.

About You

AAT qualified, or equivalent accounting experience (minimum 3 years). Experience with Sage accounting software. Knowledge of accruals, prepayments, budgets, and cashflows. Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills. A resilient, hard-working individual with good communication skills (written & verbal). Reliable, with a strong attendance and timekeeping record. Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
