To provide accounting and financial support in achieving contract goals by ensuring revenue and costs are booked correctly and in a timely manner each month.
Duties
Assist with P&L, balance sheet preparation, WIP reconciliations, and month-end journals.
Lead weekly cost reviews and support operational teams with financial awareness and reporting.
Manage sales ledger tasks including invoicing, cash allocation, debtor reporting, and payment chasing.
Oversee purchase processes (orders, invoice coding, cost entry) and job creation in finance systems.
Produce cost analysis, job reports, and support the preparation of monthly management packs.
Person Specification
Part qualified with professional accounting body e.g. CIMA Certificate / Operational Level complete / AAT or similar.
Demonstrated experience using Accounting Systems (SAP Preferred)..
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and processes.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and business partnering skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
Intermediate level use of Excel e.g. Pivot tables / SUMIFS / Vlookups.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
