We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and culinary arts, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires effective leadership and team management skills to ensure a vibrant and efficient bar environment.

Duties

Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness. Supervise and train bar staff, fostering a positive team atmosphere. Oversee food preparation and production, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations. Develop and implement innovative drink menus while maintaining quality control. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations within the bar area. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss performance, goals, and training needs. Computer literate, managing CCTV Involved with staff rotas Advertising Cash handling answering to the bar manager and Pier Manager

Skills

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a bar or restaurant setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Background in hospitality with a focus on customer service excellence. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience as a barista or knowledge of coffee preparation is an advantage. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
