Are you passionate about hospitality and community spirit? Do you thrive in a lively, team-oriented environment? Keswick Rugby Club is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Bar Manager to to work alongside the Bar Manager and contribute to the vibrant heart of our club.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, and you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to ensure smooth day to day running of the bar.

The clubhouse is open Wednesday to Sunday, but occasionally we do have functions taking place on Mondays or Tuesdays. You may be required to work on those days if an event requires a licenced bar.

Ideally we would like to employ a full time (40 hours) Assistant Manager, but we would also consider a reduced hour contract (minimum 30 hours) per week, paid pro rata

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage bar staff, ensuring efficient service and adherence to company policies. Assist the Bar Manager with stock control, ordering and supplier co-ordination Maintaining the cleanliness of front of house, bar, cellar, service areas, toilets. Ensuring that front of house is fully staffed especially at busy times Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience including functions and events. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the bar area. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner to enhance guest satisfaction.
Skills

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a licenced premises is required Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development. Ability to create a welcoming environment for customers Excellent knowledge of licenced premises practices and regulations. Strong organisational skills and an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hospitality.

Pay: 28,000.00-30,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
