Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced Assistant Bar Manager to help oversee our bar operations at our busy city center venue in the heart of Manchester's hustle and bustle. The role advertised is ideal for a keen and driven individual that has been in a bar supervisor role for at least 3 years and are looking for that next step in there career.

The ideal candidate will work alongside the bar manager and group general manager, supporting them in day to day operations and helping with the management of the supervisor team and the FOH team, with the aim being to help create an inviting atmosphere for our hotel guests and the general public.

Responsibilities



Supervise and lead the bar staff, fostering a positive team environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness. Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages and food items, ensuring quality control. Delegating weekly tasks to the supervisor team Stock counting ahead of weekly orders Assist in the development of bar menus, including signature cocktails and seasonal offerings. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times. Ensuring daily safe checks and replenishments

Requirements



Proven experience in a managerial role within a bar or restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in supervising kitchen operations is advantageous but not essential. A passion for hospitality and providing exceptional service to guests.

The role is 40-45 per week and you will be cross trained across all 3 of our sites, The Mitre Hotel, The Black Lion Hotel, The Allotment Eatery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour
