We are seeking an experienced and dynamic

Assistant Bar Manager

to oversee the daily operations of our bustling bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to assist in managaging a vibrant team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and uphold high standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising staff, managing stock levels, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise the bar team, ensuring excellent service delivery and team management. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes related to bar snacks or light meals, ensuring consistency and quality. Manage daily operations including opening, closing, and maintaining health and safety standards in accordance with food safety regulations. Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance to foster a cohesive team environment. Ensure compliance with licensing laws, alcohol regulations, and food safety standards at all times. Maintain inventory levels by ordering supplies, managing stock rotation, and reducing waste. Develop innovative drink menus in collaboration with the culinary team to enhance customer experience. Handle customer queries or complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction. Assist with training new staff members in service procedures, food production, and safety protocols.

Requirements



Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment, preferably in a bar setting. Ability to work well with the General Manager. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices. Experience in restaurant or hotel environments with a focus on hospitality excellence. Skills in team management, leadership, and staff development. Familiarity with food safety standards and food production processes. Previous experience as a barista or in serving roles is advantageous. Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication skills with a friendly yet professional demeanour. Knowledge of local licensing laws related to alcohol service is essential. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.75-13.50 per hour
