Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional experience. This role involves managing staff, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the bar area.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead the bar team, fostering a positive working environment. Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly in food production and food safety practices. Develop and implement training programmes for staff on bartending techniques and customer service excellence. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with company standards.

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or bar setting is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of food production processes and food safety regulations is highly desirable. Previous bartending experience is preferred, along with familiarity with various beverage recipes and service techniques. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective team management and customer interaction. A background in hospitality or culinary arts would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
