Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join us preparing delicious Italian celebration cakes, patisseries, and biscuits. The role includes also interacting with our customers directly during our Saturdays open days, as well as helping with the occasional deliveries, and regular general cleaning of the premises.

Previous experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred. Patisserie skills and experience in cake making not essential, as training will be provided. We are looking for the right person that will fit within our small and friendly team.

Hours to be worked in the morning, from Tuesdays to Fridays, plus a longer day on Saturday (typically from 8am till 3pm).

Will take into consideration applications for working Tue-Friday (18 hours) only, and Saturdays only (7 hours).

Duties

Assist in preparation, decoration, packing of various cakes and biscuits according to recipes and standards. Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of workstations. Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food handling and preparation. Assist with baking tasks, including mixing, baking, and decorating baked goods. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing. Maintain a positive attitude while working efficiently during busy periods. Skills

Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach. Reliability and flexibility Previous kitchen experience is advantageous. Experience with baking and pastry preparation is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices (Level 2 training will be provided)
