Assistant Care Coordinator - Vision support team (Queens cross network)
Grade 6 - 18.5 hours per week
The post holder will contribute to the provision of our Vision support service by working to promote independence, social inclusion, well being and choice for people who are living with varying degrees of vision loss/sight impairment. Embracing partnership working with people who are visually impaired in order to continually develop support services.
At all times to work in a person centred/strengths based way to maximise and embrace each individual's own strengths and networks.
Key strengths of the successful candidate will include,
Demonstrable awareness of Legislation relating to Adult Social Care (for example Care Act legislation) and be able to show a basic understanding of specific Government directives and guidance related to the area of practice - Vision support.
Display a clear knowledge of Adult social care safeguarding principles
NVQ level 3 in Adult Social Care or a relevant equivalent qualification is desirable.
Always looking for new and pioneering ways of offering vision support, which not only puts people who have lived experience of sight impairment clearly in 'control' of their own lives, but also makes Dudley a 'trailblazer' amongst vision support services regionally, and nationally.
