We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in food preparation and production, ensuring that high standards of food quality and safety are maintained.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for dishes.
Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as necessary.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Be able to work the carvery efficiently, ensure portion control and seamless service
Skills
Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff.
Extensive kitchen experience, ideally within a restaurant setting.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to work under pressure.
