Position Overview:



The London Lions are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Coach to support our elite basketball program. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, player development experience, and a commitment to fostering a winning culture. This role is instrumental in assisting the Head Coach with daily operations, player mentorship, and contributing to the team's competitive success domestically and across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:



Support the Head Coach in planning, organising, and executing training sessions, game strategies, and performance analysis. Assist in the development and mentoring of players, and nurturing young talent. Contribute to building a cohesive, multi-national, and multi-cultural team environment that promotes inclusivity and high performance. Collaborate with the coaching staff and management to align with the club's long-term vision and objectives. Provide detailed scouting reports, statistical analysis, and tactical insights to enhance game preparation. Represent the club in community initiatives and assist in media engagements where required. Help maintain a positive and disciplined team culture that supports continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to league regulations and uphold the club's standards of professionalism.

Qualifications & Experience:



Coaching experience in professional basketball, preferably in top European leagues, FIBA competitions, or equivalent. Proven ability to develop players and prepare them for high-level competition. Experience working in diverse team environments under competitive conditions. Strong communication, teamwork, and mentorship skills. Fluent in English; additional European languages are advantageous. Solid understanding of European basketball, scouting, and player development pathways. Passionate about contributing to the club's success and supporting its long-term growth. Travelling with the team on both national and international trips will be required. Collaborative mindset and strong work ethic. Ability to motivate and develop players. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,000.00-60,000.00 per year
