Assistant Commercial Asset Manager

Job Description

Work closely with the Head of Operations, Asset Managers, and Accounts teams to develop and analyse commercial and financial management processes for the business unit and various new and existing wind farm projects. Taking guidance and instruction from the management team, the employee will be heavily involved in the following areas:

governance, budgeting, invoice & ledger cashflow, revenue, P&L, liquidity, reporting, tax, audit, and general compliance management.

Key aspects of the work will include:



Commercial administration of wind farm companies

Creation and coordination of outgoing and incoming invoices

Vendor/account management including handling invoice queries

Dissection of contracts to establish financial & commercial obligations in contract manuals

Dealing with consultants to achieve specific deliverables

Understanding complex Asset Management financial and commercial requirements and finding solutions to problems

Participate in management and statutory accounting processes

Dealing with sensitive financial, commercial, contractual, and legal information

Development and management of complex Excel spreadsheets for commercial management of wind farms

Stakeholder engagement (e.g. the wind farm owners, the government, landlords, domestic and international colleagues)

Participating in wind farm board meetings - reporting on commercial performance, and recording minutes

Structured document filing and data recording

Incoming Mail handling

Key Deliverables in the role will be:



Assisting the Commercial Manager in all aspects of managing Wind Farm assets

Working to strict deadlines

Development of efficient financial project management routines for monthly, quarterly, and annual obligations

Writing process and procedure documents for multiple types of tasks

Development of complex spreadsheets to calculate various types of commercial payments

Assisting in the setting of financial & commercial project key metrics

Development of consolidated reporting templates

Other similar tasks from time to time

High proficiency in MS Excel

Strong IT skills (MS Office suite, Teams, SharePoint)

Ability to read and understand electricity billing information

Ability to interpret lengthy and complicated contractual agreements

Comfortable with large data sets

Proficiency in Microsoft Power Automate or similar software for automating repetitive asset management tasks
