Main Purpose of Post:
The Assistant Communities Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Communities Team to foster vibrant student engagement. This includes helping to develop community activities through established student groups and bespoke student-led initiatives. The role combines administrative support with some hands-on collaboration, working directly with student groups to enrich their experience and empower their contributions to campus life.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Provide administrative and operational support to the Communities Team across a range of activities.
2. Support the Communities Coordinator in developing and delivering student-led initiatives.
3. Assist student-led groups with planning and logistics, including room bookings and event administration.
4. Contribute to the election of committee members and their training to enhance their skills and leadership development.
5. Promote student-led activities through diverse communication channels and platforms.
6. Stay informed about relevant legislation and University policies that impact student activities.
