Based at Kimberworth Primary School Kitchen, this is a permanent post working 20 hours per week. The hours are to be worked Monday through Friday on a term-time only basis (45.8 weeks).

Under the direction of the Cook-in-Charge, you will prepare, cook and serve meals in a busy kitchen environment.

You will be responsible for the kitchen and staff during the absence of the Cook-in-Charge.

The ability to prepare and cook food in accordance with approved menus, with relevant experience of large-scale catering will be essential.

You must also demonstrate good hygiene practices and have a high level of personal hygiene. You will need to communicate and work well as a member of a team. A Food Hygiene Certificate, NVQ Level 2 Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent will be required, or you must be willing to undertake available training.

A uniform will be provided.
