Job Details

Do you have a catering qualification such as City & Guilds, an SVQ or equivalent?

Duties within this care home include preparation of food and beverages and the organisation of the service of food, along with understanding the requirements of special diets for residents.

Duties may include serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen, it\'s surround and equipment.

We have a permanent vacancy for an Assistant Cook in Ostlers House Care Home which provides care 7 days a week for residents. This 30 hours per week post consists of early and late shifts between the hours 7.30am - 6pm, working 5 days over 7 on a Rota with 1 long weekend off in 4.

Completion of required paperwork including electronic returns.

We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of \xc2\xa310.90 per hour for this post

You will earn a competitive salary of \xc2\xa320,460.86 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

The Person

Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
