AMJ Strip Out is a rapidly growing specialist in soft strip demolition, delivering projects across the UK. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced and proactive
Assistant Demolition Contracts Manager
to oversee the running of multiple sites, maintain high standards of project delivery, and support the wider operational needs of the business. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong background in demolition site management. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for monitoring site operations, ensuring project documentation and compliance standards are met, and maintaining close communication with clients and internal teams. Regular travel across the UK is required, along with flexibility to provide on-site support where needed.
Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor multiple live sites to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Ensure all required site documentation (RAMS, waste notes, permits, progress reports, etc.) is completed accurately and up to date.
Conduct site visits and audits to maintain safety, quality, and compliance across all projects.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve issues and maintain clear communication.
Flexibility to run a site when necessary
Assist with pre-project planning, including site surveys and helping to prepare tender information.
Support the office team with scheduling, reporting, and other administrative tasks when required.
Monitor project progress and provide feedback to directors on performance, resourcing, and improvements.
Skills
Previous experience as a Site Manager or Contracts Manager within the demolition or construction industry.
In-depth understanding of site operations, health & safety practices, and project documentation requirements.
SMSTS, CCDO, and First Aid certification required.
Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites and teams.
Professional communication style and ability to build strong relationships with clients and staff.
Understanding of Microsoft Office and digital documentation systems, along with a willingness to develop these skills.
Willingness to travel nationwide and work flexibly depending on business needs.
