Position Summary:



FTC - 6 Month with potential to extend.

As the Assistant Ecommerce Manager you will support the E-Commerce Manager and team in executing the trading and content plan, pricing, product optimisation, G4 and analytics and ecommerce administration. You will also execute and develop the pricing strategy. You will help to maximise and identify product opportunities, update the wider business on content plans, product launches and ensure that Chards is competitive within the marketplace. You will also ensure clear communication to the team and other departments regularly to ensure a cohesive working environment on launches, product optimisation and support in the day-to-day running of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Trading and Content Plan:



Develop and execute the trading and content plan, ensuring the team and wider business know what products are being launched, promoted and optimised across all digital channels. Liaise with internal teams to push product lines, ensuring they are factored into the content plan for social media channels, the website and any additional outlets. Get regular feedback from the wider business teams on products that have potential for sales. Liaise with ecommerce to ensure any assets, photography and website image changes are communicated and uploaded in line with the trading and content plan. Update the team and wider business with sales and product data each week, ensuring that this is aligned with any marketing initiatives to check their efficiency. Ensure all product content aligns with the brand's voice, messaging, and marketing objectives. Monitor and analyse product data and communicate meaningful observations to the business so that they can react accordingly.

Pricing:



Regularly update the website with the latest pricing on key products daily, ensuring that Chards are in a strong position with competitors. Communicate key pricing changes with the wider business daily and ensure any pricing issues promptly reported. Promptly respond to pricing queries and requests from various departments within the business. Review, monitor and update pricing on products each week to ensure selling opportunities are maximised. Check the 'buy-in' premiums are updated each week. Monitor and analyse product data and amend pricing where necessary to push sales. Ensure the pricing strategy is adhered to and communicate any changes or issues to the wider business and the ecommerce team.

Product Optimisation:



Look for trends in product data and optimise products for a better experience for Chard customers on the website. Communicate any potential product page changes to IT. Acknowledge and manage products from buy-ins, looking for opportunities for promoting them online. Manage the flow of products coming into the business to ensure they are placed correctly in to parent products on the website. Manage product timelines and sell-through rates, communicating the data to the team and wider business each week. Use G4 and other analytics tools to continually assess the website and provide data to the wider team. Assess and report on website traffic analysis to inform the wider team and business on success of marketing and promotional projects.

Ecommerce Administration:



Update the website when required to support the team. Manage inactive products to ensure internal KPIs are met. Undertake supportive administration on the website during launches and high demand times. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve customer experience.

Team Communication & Collaboration



Team Contribution & Communication:

Participate actively in team huddles and contribute to brainstorming sessions for campaign ideas and strategies. Collaborate with the wider team to ensure cohesive operations.

Performance Tracking:

Work diligently to achieve and exceed departmental KPIs, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization.

Staff Meeting:

Present your section's performance, insights, and key updates at monthly staff meetings. Ensure that the team is informed about market trends, pricing strategies, and inventory levels to align with overall business objectives.

Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance



Ensure full compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, including verifying customer identity when necessary. Report any suspicious activity to the MLR Officers, and assist in the monitoring of transactions as required by law.

Skills and Qualifications:



Experience: Minimum of 2 years in product trading and pricing. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of content management systems. Creativity & Analytics: Ability to develop creative yet commercially focused content while also analysing data to inform strategies. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong passion for product within the digital sphere. Organisation: Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously, with strong attention to detail. Ability to confidentally use G4 and other Analytical platforms to extract data.
