PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: 51,700 - 61,467 per annum pro rata depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
BBC News NI is seeking to recruit a part time (0.5 ET) Assistant Editor for 12 months. In the first instance the successful candidate will work on radio current affairs output. This is a key leadership role in the Belfast newsroom. The successful candidate will lead teams producing the Talkback programme and will play a key part in shaping our news output for the future.

The role requires flexibility across outputs and active involvement in enhancing BBC News NI's social media presence and cross-platform promotion.
