We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Engineering Manager to join our team at JLL Workplace Management. This position is based at our prestigious client site in Holborn, London, supporting the delivery of exceptional facilities management and engineering services.



Role Purpose:



The main function of the role is to support the Engineering Manager with the day-to-day operations.

Support the EM with ensuring that the Sites electrical, mechanical, HVAC, public health, life safety, vertical transport, facade access and general services equipment are maintained in accordance with the agreed specifications and all such services operate efficiently at all times

To support and manage the day to day Corrigo work order management system.

To schedule and supervise all contract works and repairs. To ensure that such works are as per specification and are in the best interest of the Landlord and Tenants.

Undertake reviews of contractor's health & safety obligations and paperwork including (but not limited to) site-specific risk assessments, personal protective equipment, works method statements, training records.

To maintain a 'safety first' culture at the building and ensuring the shift and day teams adhere to this.

To be accountable for the rostering of engineering staff as necessary and to organise and implement emergency cover arrangements for outside normal working hours and to arrange appropriate cover for holidays and sickness absence.

To control and monitor the shift rota ensuring sickness/leave is managed accordingly and overtime agreed and approved in advance of any works taking place.

Manage the upkeep of Risk Wise and work with the Property team to ensure regular updates are provided and the site is compliant at all times.

Undertake regular inspections of the plant room/equipment compound, record and document efficiencies or hazards and remedial requirements/timescales.

To ensure that the Engineering Manager and all parties concerned are informed of any necessary building issues.

To keep the Engineering Manager fully informed on all maintenance/engineering matters and to produce reports as necessary relating to the optimum performance of the building services.



Essential Qualifications & Experience:



10 years' experience in Building Services industry Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff, or difficult situation Ability to operate and investigate CAFM systems

Technical understanding of HVAC systems

IOSH Accredited Excellent professional presence with strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to lead, motivate and direct a team of technicians/operatives Work under pressure with strong organisational and time management skills to facilitate involvement in multiple projects Pro-active in achieving the highest standard of operation Process-driven, with an orientation towards continuous process improvement Experience working in a "hard FM" biased services delivery organisation. Expert skills in MS Office applications and MS SharePoint.
