Are you a qualified finance professional ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for an

Assistant Financial Controller

to play a key role in driving robust financial performance, improving internal controls, and delivering insightful reporting that enables strategic decision-making across the business.


This is a full time, hands-on, high-impact role, based at our new state-of-the -art i54 site in Wolverhampton, ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.

What You'll Be Responsible For

:

Financial Control & Reporting



Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting Prepare and review Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and ensure completeness and accuracy of key financial data Assist in maintaining integrity across financial statements, ensuring compliance with SOX, US GAAP, and internal policies Help manage audit and tax preparation processes, working with internal teams and external advisors

Business Support & Collaboration



Work closely with FP&A, Operations, and department heads to provide financial insight and ensure alignment on targets and forecasts Support cost control efforts across the business and help identify performance improvement opportunities Assist in developing and maintaining up-to-date finance policies, procedures, and documentation

Process Improvement & Compliance



Recommend and implement enhancements to financial processes, controls, and systems Ensure accurate, timely, and value-adding reporting to internal stakeholders Support initiatives to optimise ERP and reporting systems

Team Support & Development



Help lead and guide the management accounting and ledger teams in daily operations Support coaching and knowledge-sharing across the finance function Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional excellence

What You'll Already Have

:

Qualifications & Experience:



Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with 3-5 years' post-qualification experience in a finance or accounting role Strong knowledge of core financial controls, audit processes, and management reporting Experience working in a complex business environment with multiple stakeholders Familiarity with US GAAP and SOX compliance (essential due to US ownership)
