We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Football Coach to support our football programme. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about sports coaching and teaching to contribute to the development of young athletes. The role involves assisting the head coach in training sessions, mentoring players, and fostering a positive team environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, a passion for sport, and the ability to motivate children to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
Assist in planning and delivering training sessions tailored to various skill levels
Support the head coach in delivering sessions.
Mentor and motivate players to promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship
Help organise team logistics, including equipment management
Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to aid improvement
Ensure all safety protocols are followed during training
Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student participation and enjoyment of the sport
Experience
Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching is highly desirable
Knowledge of football rules, techniques, and training methods
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate young athletes
Experience working with school-aged children or adolescents is advantageous
A recognised coaching qualification or willingness to undertake relevant training is preferred
