Assistant General Manager - Hands On High Volume Role



We are hiring a hands on Assistant General Manager to help lead a fast paced premium kitchen and floor team. You will run the show on the General Manager's days off, lead service, manage up to 800 'from scratch' meals a day, and work closely with the chef to keep standards high and service fast! You will need sharp instincts, be calm under pressure, and the people skills to deescalate issues with clarity and care.

Responsibilities



Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth functioning. Supervise and motivate staff, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Be aware food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality standards and food safety regulations. Coordinate with kitchen staff to expedite timely service. Monitor service delivery, including serving guests and managing reservations or bookings as required. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all departments, particularly food safety protocols. Support training programmes for new staff and ongoing development initiatives for existing team members. Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming to resolve issues promptly. Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the premises.

Qualifications



Proven supervising experience within the hospitality industry, ideally in restaurants . Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes. Experience in team management, leadership, and staff development. Familiarity with restaurant service operations including serving and hospitality practices. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under high pressure. Previous experience with culinary arts or barista duties is advantageous but not essential. Demonstrated ability to lead a team, supervise staff, and uphold very high service standards. Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
