We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our hospitality team. Duties
Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant or hotel operations to ensure smooth functioning.
Supervise and motivate team members, including front-of-house and kitchen staff, fostering a positive working environment.
Manage food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
Oversee food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations.
Coordinate food production activities, ensuring timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of presentation.
Support staff training programmes, including serving techniques, hospitality standards, and culinary skills such as barista experience or kitchen procedures.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee excellent guest experiences.
Assist in inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing stock levels efficiently.
Contribute to menu planning and development in collaboration with culinary teams.
Ensure adherence to organisational policies and procedures relating to health & safety, hygiene, and food safety.
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hotel environment is essential.
Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
Extensive restaurant experience including food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality roles such as barista or front-of-house service.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes.
Experience in culinary roles or kitchen environments is highly advantageous.
Previous hotel or hospitality management experience is desirable but not mandatory.
Familiarity with managing food safety compliance and implementing operational procedures is required.
