Job Description

The Monmouthshire Golf Club is a thriving Members' golf club, with an exciting opportunity as we look to appoint an Assistant Golf Manager. This position is well suited to a person with the ability to multi-task whist working to meet competing demands.

Reporting to the Golf Manager, you will have key responsibility for:



Maintaining accurate financial and non-financial records using the club's accounting and membership software packages Preparing monthly reports to show performance against the club's financial targets Submitting VAT returns and ensuring compliance with regulations Generation of sales invoices and payments to suppliers, including credit and debt management Assisting the Golf Manager with the day to day running of the office, including new membership and visitor enquiries, competitions, administration and compliance Assisting the House committee with Marketing events and promotions

Requirements:



Book keeping experience / qualifications Confident and solutions focused Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work under pressure and multi-task Willingness to work as part of an effective team Computer literacy, including previous experience with accounting systems Flexibility to work hours required by the business Golfing experience desirable but not essential
