Assistant Golf ProOperationsxc2xb7 To carry out opening and closing procedures following standard operating procedures.xc2xb7 To process payments in line with Resort procedures.xc2xb7 To assist in organising competitions and other events, to help make them a success.xc2xb7 To organise and control play ensuring that customers receive the best service and enjoyment during their day.xc2xb7 To perform basic club repairs and custom fitting to the standard required to generate maximum customer satisfaction.xc2xb7 To organise and control the practice facilities ensuring enjoyable customer experience.xc2xb7 To organise and control the hire of all relevant equipment rentals.xc2xb7 To oversee the driving range operation daily, ensuring the driving range is operating safely and ball supply is adequate.Retailingxc2xb7 To supervise the daily operation of the golf shop under the direction of the Golf Operations Managerxc2xb7 To offer specialist advice and recommendations using product knowledge to meet customer requirements.xc2xb7 To achieve sales targets.xc2xb7 To provide excellent customer service at all times.xc2xb7 To ensure that the golf shop is clean, orderly, well-stocked and professionally presented at all times.xc2xb7 To monitor and regularly update sales display areas, including window displays and merchandise in hot spots.xc2xb7 To assist in organising promotions to stimulate golf shop sales.xc2xb7 To assist with stock control and ordering, pricing and bar-coding.xc2xb7 To follow all established shop procedures, including those for payment processing, handling, customer complaints, opening and closing, health and safety, security, etc.Peoplexc2xb7 To act as onsite supervisor when the Golf Operations Manager is not on duty.xc2xb7 To allocate duties for golf operations staff when acting as shift supervisor.xc2xb7 To promote positive customer relations, supporting other staff as needed.xc2xb7 Under the guidance of the Golf Operations Manager, provide orientation and induction training for new staff.xc2xb7 To establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff and members.xc2xb7 To provide excellent customer service at all times.xc2xb7 To promote all golf club activities and services, acting as an ambassador for the facility.Teachingxc2xb7 To organise and deliver effective coaching for individuals and groups, ensuring that participants' needs are identified, coaching sessions are planned and delivered to develop participants' performance and the effectiveness of sessions is evaluated and reviewed.xc2xb7 To assist with organising and promoting junior golf.xc2xb7 To deliver school/junior development programmes.xc2xb7 To deliver women into golf development programmes.xc2xb7 To work on own initiative to build up client base for coaching.Personal Attributesxc2xb7 Strong interpersonal skills - able to maintain a congenial rapport in all dealings with a variety of people.xc2xb7 Focus on customer service excellence, awareness of importance of building member and client relationships, in touch with trends in golf equipment and sports fashion.xc2xb7 Professional conduct and appearance, hard-working, reliable, enthusiastic, self-motivated, keen to learn, flexible, pays attention to detail, uses initiative - able to work independently with minimum of supervision, effective and natural communicator, good selling skills, trustworthy, punctual.Essential CriteriaPGA Professional or PGA Trainee studying Foundation Degree in Professional GolfA good sales and customer service background with the ability to demonstrate skills in both.The desire to deliver outstanding customer service.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.A warm, friendly, and energetic approach with great pride in your overall appearance.A flexible work approach.Understand the requirement for working early morning, evening and weekend hours.Desirable CriteriaPrevious experience working in the golf industry.Good knowledge of the game of golf and the golf industry.Knowledge of Rules of Golf and tournament organisation.Good working knowledge of custom fitting and club repairs.Retail experience, including selling, stock control and visual merchandising.Confident IT skills including Microsoft Office, BRS Golf and ClubV1.Personal AppearanceYour personal appearance makes an important contribution to the high standing and reputation of the Company. You are required to meet the Company's personal appearance standards by wearing either approved clothing or the uniform provided by the Company.PGA TrainingThe Company will provide the Assistant PGA Professional with funding of xc2xa3500.00 per year during the Assistant's PGA training course, payable at the end of each academic year.
