Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to assist with the smooth running of the housekeeping department within our Hotel, this is very much a hands on role and the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role is crucial in ensuring that our guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment during their stay.

Responsibilities



Assist in the management and supervise the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all areas are cleaned to the highest standards. Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive team environment. Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise efficiency. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate services and address any guest concerns promptly. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary while adhering to budgetary constraints. Handle guest complaints regarding housekeeping services in a professional manner, striving for resolution and satisfaction. Uphold health and safety regulations within the department, ensuring all staff are trained in safe working practices.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a housekeeping management role within the hospitality or hotel industry is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English. Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and health regulations is advantageous. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.70 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 38 per week
