The Crown is a charming pub in Highgate village, North London. We recently opened a food offer led by an amazing chef and are looking for new members of the leadership team to assist with the growth of the business at this exciting time.

The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business. Ensuring excellent customer service and smooth operations. This role involves supervising staff, managing floor service, assisting with stock and financial controls, and helping deliver a warm, welcoming, and professional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities



Ensure consistent delivery of a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests. Overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth service across the bar and dining room. Lead by example in providing outstanding customer service, resolving complaints promptly and professionally. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety throughout the premises. Supervise, motivate, and support front-of-house staff. Assist with training and developing team members. Foster a positive working environment with clear communication and teamwork. Support with stock controls. Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements. Support on capturing content for social media channels. Support compliance with licensing laws, health & safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.

Skills & Experience



Previous supervisory experience in hospitality, ideally in a pub, bar, or restaurant. Strong people-management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of food and drink service, including cellar and bar management. Financial awareness and basic understanding of budgets, costs, and sales reporting. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications



Previous experience with table service is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills with a focus on outstanding service. A passion for great pubs. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Pay: 27,000.00-30,000.00 per year
