We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Assistant Manager for our care home for adults with learning disabilities to lead and support our dedicated caregiving team. 39 hours per week plus on-call shifts following induction
Duties
Assist in managing daily care home operations, ensuring efficient workflow and staff coordination
Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs
Supervise caregiving staff, providing guidance on patient observation, medication administration, and assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
Oversee medication management, including administration and documentation in accordance with legal requirements
Conduct regular resident monitoring to assess health status, vital signs, and behavioral changes
Facilitate communication between residents' families, healthcare providers, and team members to promote holistic care
Maintain accurate documentation related to care plans, incident reports, and regulatory compliance
Requirements
Level 3 certificate in care required
2 years experience in care required
Experience in a supervisory role preferable
Good communication, IT, organisation and time management skills essential
Strong background in patient observation, medication administration, and assisting with ADLs
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with residents with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
Demonstrated leadership skills to supervise staff while fostering a positive team environment
Flexibility to handle emergency situations promptly and professionally while maintaining a caring attitude
