Working in close collaboration with the Shop Manager, our Assistant Managers are at the forefront of our customer service experience and will be required to deliver this to the highest standard.

This role would suit someone who displays ambition and a growth mindset alongside high levels of empathy, resilience and organisational skills. There is a need for great passion to consistently deliver industry leading customer service as well as a genuine enthusiasm for running and the running community.

Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager are to:

lead and inspire the shop team; deliver excellent customer service through a high level of retail standards; taking ownership of the store's appearance, cleanliness and organisation; deliver and maintain the +runlab service aligned with company standards; support customers of run4it.com through fulfilment and customer service; analyse information from Shopify to understand key sales trends, and use this to shape feedback, both to shop team members and the stock team; maintain a strong control of stock management processes within the shop and have the ability to rectify any inaccuracies; oversee the implementation of promotional campaigns and analyse their impact; work alongside other departments to provide supportive and inclusive working practices; recruit team members in accordance with company policy and employment law; organise the shop rota for the team, considering absences and holidays and the submission, on time and within budget, of weekly staffing hours to the payroll department; engage, build and maintain relationships with the local running community; and comply with Health and Safety legislation in accordance with the company procedure.
Our opening hours are 9.00am - 17:30pm (6.00pm on Thursdays) Monday - Saturday and 11-5pm on Sunday.
