As Assistant Manager your role will be to aid the General Manager in leading service and day-to-day operation of the bar. This will include managing a small team, completing administrative tasks and holiday cover for the General Manager. Due to the nature of our trading hours this is advertised as a part-time role.
MAIN DUTIES:
We would expect an Assistant Manager to be confident and comfortable with the following:
- Supervising a small team
- Being flexible & readily available for absence cover
- Hosting our customers and ensuring excellent service standards
- Dealing with complaints and issues appropriately
- Opening and closing the bar independently
- Communication with bookings, via email, phone and social media
- Processing takeaway orders & communicating with Kitchen Staff & Delivery Drivers
- Basic food preparation & service
- Social media posting
- Cash handling and till reconciliation
- Actively driving sales and using efficient working practices to help minimise unnecessary costs.
REQUIREMENTS
-Management experience in a bar or restaurant setting.
-Strong team management and leadership skills.
-Knowledge of food safety regulations.
-Bartending skills with a focus on customer service.
-Experience in conflict management.
-Flexibility with working hours to match trade levels.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.51-14.51 per hour
Expected hours: 18 - 30 per week
