Midlands-based with opportunity for flexible/hybrid working
Part-time (3 full days or 5 shorter days per week) | 35k-45k FTE (pro-rata)
Help us shape the future of solar security!
We're on the lookout for a proactive, supremely organised, and values-driven Assistant Project Manager to join our fast-growing team.
We specialise in securing the UK's green energy infrastructure, with a focus on large-scale solar farms. Business is booming -- and we're building up our internal project management capability to match.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting the planning, coordination and management of operational installation projects
Taking an active role in project-related meetings, attended by key stakeholders
Communicating updates, risks and opportunities clearly to both colleagues & clients
Managing project documentation and keeping administrative systems accurate and up-to-date
Assisting with resource planning, procurement and budgeting activities
Helping to identify, track and resolve project risks and challenges
Supporting Health & Safety and QC to ensure project deliverables meet our standards
Providing administrative support to our field-based engineering teams
A bit about you:
You're a sound planner who is highly organised and not afraid to initiate action....but you're a strong team player who appreciates all the moving parts within a business and you're not the type to 'go rogue'
You're comfortable with change and working in a fast-moving environment
You're solutions-focused and happy to get stuck in where needed
You're confident communicating with lots of different people, helping to bring structure and clarity without needing formal authority
You're resilient and pragmatic -- you know that building something new means things won't always be fully defined
You have a good understanding of project management principles, and cost control (formal qualifications are a bonus but not essential -- the right mindset and a commercial approach is what matters most)
Experience working in construction, engineering, renewables or field-based operational environments would be a big plus
Working at our place:
Our HQ is based in rural Northamptonshire and whilst we deliver projects UK-wide, this role is primarily office-based with flexible/hybrid working available. We're open to part-time hours and we are happy to discuss your ideal work pattern - this could potentially support school hours.
We're a fast-scaling company, where every person's contribution makes a real impact. We're proud to be a values-led business, committed to:
Consistency - doing the basics brilliantly
Togetherness - being part of one, united, team
Solutions-orientation - looking for answers, not obstacles or excuses
Gumption - showing courage, resourcefulness and initiative, coupled with positive energy
The truth pill:
We move fast and thrive on making things happen...but we aren't perfect. Your role will be to help bring organisation, communication, clarity and consistency to how we do what we do, supporting project delivery as we transition towards a more formalised structure. Once that transition is complete, you can be sure there will be new changes to embrace and challenges to respond to, so you need to be genuinely committed to continuous improvement.
So, what's in it for you? Why should you join the CTSG team?
Your starting salary will be somewhere between 35-45k p.a.(pro rata) - the precise figure we settle on will depend upon your personal skills and experience when you join us. We believe in rewarding members of our team according to their overall contribution; so if your attitude is amazing and we can depend upon you to deliver, we'll happily commit to regular pay reviews. We will also have wider conversations with you about your priorities in life, and how we can support you in achieving any goals you may have - we don't expect your world to start and stop at work.
On top of that, you can expect to join a progressive business that appreciates the importance of balance - we won't hide the fact that the team you'll be joining is heavily deadline-driven and the pressure to perform is felt by us all at times, so we recognise the importance of having some fun, too. Hopefully you'll be eager to join us for CTSG socials and help us celebrate our continued successes. We do also understand that life can be challenging outside of work, and we really value the wellbeing of everyone in the business so as part of our benefits package we will offer you membership to Westfield Health.
There's plenty more on offer, too, including a bonus day off on us to celebrate your Birthday. We can tell you more when we meet you...but you will first need to apply!
