We are looking to recruit a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to the City and South Learning Disability Team.
You would be part of the LD Psychology team, supporting direct clinical work including assessments and some interventions, indirect clinical work including supporting clinics, groups, and report writing, and assist with the administration of the psychology team, for example maintaining databases and taking and disseminating meeting minutes.
You will have clinical supervision with a qualified clinical psychologist and have the opportunity to attend reflective practice groups.
You will be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team consisting of LD Nurses, OTs, SALTs, Psychiatrists and Physiotherapists.
We are a friendly and supportive psychology team. We have regular meetings which include CPD and reflective spaces. We have good regional links as we are active members of the LD SIG (linked to the Faculty for People with Intellectual Disabilities, part of the BPS). You would have the opportunity to attend the LD SIG meetings. We encourage regular CPD and this would be discussed in your annual PDR.
