AAH delivers high-quality, multi-disciplinary assessments that adhere to NICE guidelines. The organisation is led by two clinical directors with over 15 years of experience in both the NHS and private practice.



Job Purpose



To support the delivery of high-quality neurodevelopmental assessments for children and adults by assisting in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of assessment data, liaising with schools and other professionals, and contributing to clinical reports under supervision. The postholder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide practical support to ensure effective and timely assessment services.

Key Responsibilities



Clinical/Assessment Duties



Assist in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of standardised assessments, including Conners, QB Check, and other relevant psychometric tools. Contribute to the gathering and analysis of information from multiple sources, including school reports and parent/client questionnaires. Conduct structured observations in schools or other relevant settings as required (only occasionally). Support the preparation of assessment reports under the guidance of senior clinicians. Provide feedback and updates to families and professionals as agreed and under supervision.

Liaison & Communication



Liaise with schools, healthcare professionals and other agencies as required, to gather necessary assessment information. Communicate effectively with children, young people, adults, and their families in a sensitive, professional, and person-centred manner as required. Attend team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary case discussions.

Administration & Data Management



Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in line with service and regulatory standards. Assist with the management of assessment schedules and follow-up appointments. Support audit, evaluation, service development and research projects as required.

Professional Development & Supervision



Participate in regular clinical supervision and line management meetings. Engage in continuing professional development relevant to neurodevelopmental assessment. Adhere to the ethical standards and professional guidelines of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and other relevant bodies.

Scope and Limits of Authority



The postholder will work under the supervision of senior psychologists and will not carry full clinical responsibility. Must work within service protocols, ethical guidelines, and organisational policies. Responsible for ensuring confidentiality and safeguarding in all interactions.

Working Conditions



Primarily remote-based with travel to schools or community settings as required (only occasionally). Some flexibility in hours may be required to meet the needs of the service. Exposure to sensitive information and potentially distressing situations with clients.
