Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Job Role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the Quantity Surveyor to assist in the commercial administration of the works region you are assigned to.

Duties

Manage subcontract accounts in a proactive and collaborative manner to ensure payment notifications are issued on time and agreement of final accounts in a timely manner. Submit accurate and timely valuations and claims within the client's Confirm system including the compilation of all supporting information Use your understanding of method of measurement principles to ensure the accurate measurement of works from as-built information and site records. Work closely with our in house operations team and external supply chain to ensure evidence can be provided to support valuations and resolve client queries Have an awareness of the risks and opportunities that may present themselves over the course of the contract and work with the commercial team to manage these accordingly.

Person Specification

Be working towards or have a Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering qualification (experience and time served rather than formal qualifications will be considered) Have 3+ years construction industry experience Understands valuations, applications for payments and variations Understandings of measurement, rates, build up and cost control Understanding of NEC forms of contract Have experience of using Excel to analyse data. Be prepared to travel around the NH Eastern region when necessary

Hours: Full Time - 40 - Monday to Friday
