A Day in the Life

\xc2\xb7 Maintaining the Rebate Contract Data database

\xc2\xb7 Managing rebate accruals

\xc2\xb7 Preparing (monthly) Manual Journal Entries for rebate contracts and customer loyalty programs

\xc2\xb7 Following up on questions from stakeholders

\xc2\xb7 Assessing new contracts and proposing accounting direction

\xc2\xb7 Reconciling rebate related accounts

The responsibilities on the administration and controlling of customer rebates and loyalty programs may include the following and other duties may be assigned (focusing on the rebate and customer royalty programs):

- Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares internal and external financial reports

- Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records

- Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy.

- Designs, modifies, installs, and/or maintains accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions.

- Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls. May be responsible for month end close.

- Mainly be responsible for technical support and accounting of Customer Rebate and loyalty program activities.

- May oversee technical accounting research for complex business transactions and implementation of new accounting standards.

- Supports Balance Sheet Reviews on the items related to Customer Rebates and Customer Loyalty Programs.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy or Finance is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience
\xc2\xb7 Profound knowledge of Excel

\xc2\xb7 Data analytical skills

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of accounting principles

\xc2\xb7 Strong communication skills

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of the SAP General Ledger Module
Nice to Have

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of SAP Rebate Module

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Medtronic Rebate Strategy (FIT vs non-FIT Contracts)

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Power BI
